Mystery solved and many lessons learned...

This is seriously only a few sq. ft. and there are soooo many gopher, mole, vole... HOLES!

It's hard to see the whole thing, but I think that these "cucumber beetles" are responsible for a majority of the leaf damage in my garden. I smoosh the bugs whenever I get a chance! My neighbor offered some organic pest solutions that I may try.

Rose with newly transplanted marigolds.

Pretty Dahlia and Marigold Wine Barrel.

Hehe, can you see Scout?
Tomatillo and tomato plants before I added wire cages. I learned that I should have added the wire cages a long time ago! It was seriously tough to get them around the plants.

Loving the nice row of beets :)

I think the purple and white dahlias are my favorite.

I took this picture less than a week ago and the lettuce has literally tripled in size since.
Anyone need/want any lettuce?

Yummy mature beets... ready for eating!

My lil cutie!

Hard to see, but it's our first wisteria bloom!

Not sure what's growing so tall in the back of this pot, however, the roses and dahlias are doing great. There is even a Peony that looks pretty good (small growth) behind the dahlia.

Tiny yellow flowers on the underside of the cucumber vines.

So cool!

This onion is almost ready for harvest.

I love this yellow bud.

Pretty magenta dahlia bloom.

These remind me of creamsicle popsicles by the white/orange color.

Tomatillo plant with tons of little green buds. I've even now seen some yellow blossoms.

The beginning of pomegranate fruit!

It totally already looks like it :)

I moved the tiny pepper plants, so that I can cage them more easily than the tomato plants.

After I moved some of the tomato plants to form neat rows and fit inside the cages.

Garden sampling for two - carrots, radishes, lettuce, and strawberries.

Loving the LARGE yellow blooms. They're seriously larger than my outstretched hand!

Pick Me! Red Flag - that way my father in law knows which one he should pull!

Tomatillo flower... so ready to try these!

Did I mention that I <3 DAHLIAS!?!?!

If you remember a while back I wasn't sure if I mislabeled my seedlings. Well, I found out today that I did! This was labeled as Romanesco Broccoli, but it is actually Cauliflower - Purple of Sicily. Ooops! The worst part is that I reseeded next to the seedlings that didn't survive, so now broccoli and cauliflower rows are totally mixed up.

More cauli... and evidence of leaf eating insects :(

So cool!!! It's crazy how much leaf grows just to protect the cauli head inside.

Cuc vine growth makes me happy :)

Insect leaf attack makes me sad :(

LOVE

Now that is beautiful!

I think these flowers are so cool at every stage of the bloom.

More purple pretties!

Beginnings of a new orange/red bloom.

I love flowers.

Such a good garden view!
