Where it all began...

My first official gardening experience started last year while I was living with my in-laws. My father-in-law has many succulent plants throughout his garden. I've always enjoyed the look of these plants and when I discovered that they are easy to maintain, it was a no brainer! I started by picking up several small pots with the plants already established at Trader Joe's. 

 I kept them in small pots for awhile, but decided to upgrade for the new house. Then after an interesting breakfast in San Francisco, I stumbled upon Sloat Garden Center and picked up several more. I created new arrangements and have had great success with them.

Of course my love of nature didn't just start last year with succulent plants, but has been a part of my life since I was young. However, this blog isn't supposed to be about the past, but about the present and future.
